Dave Dora is a retired Operations Manager who has extensively studied management principles. He speaks about the way in which he combined effective management with his faith, and how his faith guided him in difficult management situations.
Hank Evers is the Director of Development and Communications at the Orange Catholic Foundation and an engaged parishioner. Hank has had a breadth of senior level positions, primarily dealing with strategic development, marketing and communications. Hank has learned to embed his faith life in all that he does, and will present the way in which he came to be able to find congruence among his work and his strong faith values.
Christe Roknich has been marketing and selling residential real estate since 1989 in Southern California. She feels fortunate and happy to call St. Edward her parish. A cradle Catholic, she was voluntold to attend Catholic 101 (aka RCIA) upon the birth of her first child. This became the springboard for a faith journey that has impacted her family life, her work, and leads her to find ways to evangelization and ministry that she could not have predicted.
Lori Sloss provides comprehensive insurance services, and is a school mother and active parishioner. She has a love of giving back to and actively supporting others. Lori will discuss how her faith helped her to deal with a challenging situation in her work life, and how she grew in her religion because of the experience, strengthening her individual and family values.
Kevin Perkins is a technologist who has found a way to combine his recent conversion to Catholicism with his skill and knowledge in emerging technologies. Kevin will share his faith story of learning to follow where the Spirit leads him. In addition, he will present ways that those in the 16-35 age group can use the new technologies to maintain and strengthen their faith.

Dave Dora is a recently retired Senior Operations Manager, Mentor and involved parishioner. Dave applies his faith in his work and in his commitment to mentoring others by abandoning himself to the Holy Spirit. He speaks of his faith journey, and its application when, during the recession, he was responsible for managing two major corporate down sizings.
Sr. Sue Dunning, C.S.J. has been a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange for 33 years and currently is the San Felipe de Jesus Minister of Faith Formation and Religious Education. Early in her religious life she felt a call from God to serve the poor of Mexico. For 15 years, she lived with and served the Mexican people of Guaymas, Sonora and Tijuana, Baja, CA. She has a love and passion for serving the poor and is actively involved with the homeless in Orange. In parish ministry, she shares her love of people and talents of music, dance and spirituality in a variety of ways.
Donna Couch is the Director of Faith Formation at St. Edward. She is an accomplished author and also has experience as a retreat guide, master catechist and college professor. Donna will discuss her return to the faith and how that pathway unexpectedly became the center of her life’s work. She will suggest ways to grow spiritually while balancing the needs of family.
Paul Sampson is a retired marketing executive of a Fortune 500 Company, and head of the Parish’s Knights of Columbus. Paul will share stories about how his parents laid the foundation of his Catholic faith and how that faith manifested itself in his day-to-day decision making within his work life. As he moved up the corporate ladder he helped to create a positive environment for all employees, never forgetting the “little person” and making sure to look out for them. He also sought help and guidance from his faith as he made multiple geographic moves with his family.
Rosemary Kane is a successful marriage and family therapist as well as an addiction counselor. Rosemary tells her faith story of how she came to be involved in her profession, and how she has given herself up to the Lord in her practice. She describes how she finds the Spirit inside each individual she works with and will give specific tips on how to provide help for those we know who may have suffering in their lives.
Dr. John DiMare is a physician and a medical director, as well as a co-Leader of the ushers and a lead Eucharistic Minister at St. Edward. John describes his real life story on how he came closer to his faith, and how he now evidences and professes his faith in his medical practice. He also describes his experience in spirituality and its consequences in healing. He talks about his philosophy of 1) never be reluctant to share your faith story with your work colleagues and friends, and 2) pick a Gospel verse as your vision in life.
Sr. Katherine (Kit) Gray is a long time educator, facilitator and administrator with experience in education and health care. Sr. Kit describes how her faith led her to develop systems for mentoring many hundreds of health care professionals in ethical, patient-centered service. She discusses the Catholic underpinnings of health care, and the values that Catholic health care provides to patients, families and the community.
ROCIO MENDOZA-SANDOVAL is a public elementary school teacher whose life experiences have deepened her faith, and whose faith has changed how she lives her life, personally and professionally. Rocio shares how her faith-filled attitude influenced her to become a teacher and how it shapes her classroom practices.
Kim Thress is co-owner of a small business. Kim manages the business as she leads her life, in a faith-filled manner. Her faith guides her in treating employees and clients with the same respect and trust, and ensuring that there is fairness over profit. Kim manages in a way that all who work with her know that they are part of the process of success and that decisions are formed by input from all. Kim abandons herself, and her company, to her faith.
