Sr. Katherine (Kit) Gray is a long time educator, facilitator and administrator with experience in education and health care. Sr. Kit describes how her faith led her to develop systems for mentoring many hundreds of health care professionals in ethical, patient-centered service. She discusses the Catholic underpinnings of health care, and the values that Catholic health care provides to patients, families and the community.
Kim Thress is co-owner of a small business. Kim manages the business as she leads her life, in a faith-filled manner. Her faith guides her in treating employees and clients with the same respect and trust, and ensuring that there is fairness over profit. Kim manages in a way that all who work with her know that they are part of the process of success and that decisions are formed by input from all. Kim abandons herself, and her company, to her faith.
Brian Fergus, a sale representative will tell us of an experience he had helping science teachers inspire students to explore the world.” He received a large order from a teacher at 1 pm and working together with other divisions, he shipped the order complete by 4:30 pm. Hear how the corporate culture, which makes no distinction between inside clients and outside clients, helps make his job easier and more fulfilling. Hear how his deep Catholic faith reinforces him at work to avoid gossip, help new employees, and build a strong work ethic within his supportive work community.
Richard Grebenc, a teacher and graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, will talk of an experience he had while teaching Theology of the Human Person. Hear his story of a student who was taking his class and her thoughtful response. Hear why Rich above all appreciates class participation that fosters openness and respect for each other, while he seeks to present the Church’s teaching in a true light.
Constantine Thalassinos, a visitor to the Divine Mercy Project and member of the Greek Orthodox Church, will share with us his faith journey. His father was a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church. Hear Constantine’s faith journey that may yet lead him to becoming a priest like his father. However, it is more important to Constantine to live a good Christian life every day that may be seen by his love of others in humility.
